To be honest, it never worked that good with Guitar Hero Metallica to begin with. I've had this guitar for 3 months exactly as of today.today it died for good. Seemed fine with Aerosmith though.maybe it was just already dying when I started playing GH:Metallica.who knows. The wammy bar broke on it a week ago (imagine all the points I lost cause of that). And today it just stopped working. It's a pile of junk. Guess I should have just stuck with the cheapo GH one.
Looks really cool, but very light, flimsy and a very cheap feel. It does play very well on Rockband 2 and I had fun with it.Then the whammy bar spring broke after only 4 days of use. The spring itself is very small and brittle for something that's bound to be used alot.4 days of play for $80.very bad deal, in my opinion.
She has mastered her regular Rock Band guitar but upon recieveing this, she has to start over to learn to play in the opposite way that she is used to. I purchase the Axe Guitar for my 10 year old daughter and she loves it. The only issue that she has with it is that it is a left handed instrument. Not a big issue though, I told her to be ambidextrous is a good thing. :)
It connected great so i decided to use it for the Bass guitar but after only three uses the entire controller stopped working. I bought this guitar for the looks and also for the size i like the buttons smaller than the stock guitars for GH games. This product was sharp and worked great for a few minutes until i tried using the whammy, NO response also the lower buttons did not work well. After changing batteries and retrying many times the controller connected but no response from buttons during play. It looks great collecting dust but not worth the price
The whammy area is also limited as compared to other controllers. The star power does NOT activate in any of the GH games. It connects to the top of the guitar, so if you actually plan on standing to play the strap comes off with no effort. The strummer is set back farther than any other controller I have tried so you have to move your arm back "out of position" to strum. Well, let's start with the strap. I tipped this the up beyond vertical over and over and rarely got it to work. The strummer is also very short as compared to other controllers. The whammy bar is also horribly placed. It is either in the way, or out of reach. The start button is also poorly placed so it is impossible to reach and use for star power.I play all GH and Rock Band games at Hard / Expert level. I have owned / tried several knockoff controllers and NONE are suckier (or more expensive) than this one.I am dumping mine and gonna try and WarBeast next.
